Caliente Burger

Prep Time: 16 min
Cook Time: 6-10 min
Serves: 2-4
Difficulty: Did you grow up around a lot of paint chips? If not, you’re solid.
Recommended Sides: Fries, potatoes, green beans, beer, ice cream, beans, salad, chips, friends, summer, and a copy of The Room.

3/4 lb ground beef (80/20)
1 Jalapeno
4 cloves garlic
1/2 red pepper
1/4 onion
1 small sweet pepper
1 tbs olive oil
1/4 tsp cayenne powder
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp chili powder
A dash of red pepper flakes
A little Tobasco sauce
A little Worcestershire sauce

Step 1: Start the Grill, Chop the Veggies
Toss the charcoal on the grill, ignite, and bask in the fiery glory. Next chop up all the veggies and (optional) squish them in a mortar & pestle. Add the other ingredients and set aside.

Step 2: Mixie Mashie
Stir the ground beef in with the squishy mixture. Use your hands and feel the greasy goodness. If the consistency is off, you may need to add a little flour to make it clump together well. Form the meat into 4 patties and toss on the hot grill (after you have spread out the coals). You will want to keep them on 1 side for about 3 minutes, then flip and keep on for another 4. They should come out medium-rare to medium this way. Feel free to grill the buns too!

Step 3: Make Your Spicy Burger And Love Life
This makes your average burger super powered and awesome. It’s spicy, flavorful, and should make a great addition to your summer dining. You also don’t need to add as many toppings as you would for a regular burger.
