Sammich from the Deep

Prep Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: 10 Minutes
Serves: If you make one per person, you get one per person
Difficulty: You need an IQ of at least 17 to try this
Recommended Side Dishes: Salad, fries, green beans, or Futurama.

Ingredients:
Baguette
Bacon (3-4 per person)
Sliced turkey (or whatever left over lunch meat you happen to have)
Provolone Cheese
Tomato
Onion
Lettuce
Pesto
Butter
1 Pinch garlic powder
1 Pinch pepper and salt

Step 1: Cook Bacon
Cook the bacon.

Step 2: Slice, Butter, Pesto
Slice the onion, tomato, and lettuce into smaller bits and set aside. Cut the bread in half, butter the top of the bread and put pesto on the bottom.

Step 3: Assemble
Place the tomato and onion slices on the pesto, then add turkey and bacon. On top of all that, lay some strips of provolone… or a lot of provolone, your call.

Step 4: Broil!
Sprinkle the garlic powder, pepper, and salt over the buttered side of the bread. Leave the sandwich open side up and place in the oven on top of tin foil. If you like super crunchy, crunchy bread, take the sandwich out and put the sandwich together. Place it back in the oven until nice and crispy.

Step 5: Eat
We made salad with our mighty sammiches, and it turned out great. I recommend this recipe for when you want something delicious, but happen to be really lazy or tired at the moment.
